Dr. Adriana Galván is a Professor of Psychology, director of the Developmental Neuroscience Lab and Dean of Undergraduate Education at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is also the Co-Executive Director of the Center for the Developing Adolescent. Her research examines the neural mechanisms underlying adolescent behavior to inform youth-relevant policy. She received her B.A. from Barnard College and her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Cornell. Her research has been generously funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, National Science Foundation, Jacobs Foundation, William T. Grant Foundation and Funders for Adolescent Science Translation (FAST). Recent awards include the APA Early Career Award, Young Investigator Award from the Cognitive Neuroscience Society, Troland Award from the National Academy of Sciences, and the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers. She was a Fulbright Scholar in Barcelona in 2018.
