He works with boards of directors and management, often serving as outside general counsel to help organizations with planning, structuring, governance, investigations, tax compliance and transactional matters. Mr. Reid chairs the American Bar Association Tax-Exempt Organizations Committee and previously served as Legislation Counsel to the Joint Committee on Taxation, a nonpartisan body that advises members of the United States Congress on tax policy, and as a Fellow at the Office of Tax Policy, United States Department of Treasury. He is a graduate of Yale University and New York University School Law from which he received a J.D. and LL.M in taxation and served as Editor in Chief of the Law Review.
